When someone says “Your LinkedIn Profile” what’s the first metaphor that comes to mind?

by | Jun, 2022

For me, there are a few comparisons…
Your LinkedIn profile is your online billboard.
Your LinkedIn profile is a part of your brand (it’s not 100% of your brand because the triangle is not JUST your profile here).
Your LinkedIn profile is the first place people can go to in order to get to know you here.
Your LinkedIn profile is your selling agent when you can’t speak on your behalf.

What say you? Can you relate with any of these comparisons or do you have another metaphor for your LinkedIn profile?

Do you remember that poll I did a couple weeks ago where I promised a tip?

Here it is! If you change the way you think of your profile, and instead pivot to asking these questions…
What makes me different?
What makes me stand out?
Why would someone want to get to know me?
Why would someone want to do business with me?

Then and only then can you change the way you show up in each and every part of your LinkedIn profile.

Your mindset has to be on the same path to do the work.

When I work with my clients, I teach a triangle strategy made up of profile, engagement and content and the strategy works. Proof is in the recommendations (on my profile) from clients. If you’d like to Leverage Up, LLC on LinkedIn, DM me!
