Want to know how to be more visible on LinkedIn without posting content?

You Do NOT Have To Post Content To Get Eyes On You!

Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start.

Nope, not going to sing. Trust me, you don’t want to hear that. In fact, my family often requests that I not sing. The only place I can sing is in my car by myself.

OK, enough about how bad a singer I am.

What I meant about starting at the beginning was this: I’ve been creating content here on LinkedIn since 2018, and over the past seven years, I’ve often mentioned what a super tiny percentage of people there is who create content. That number really hasn’t gone up at all since 2018.

So if you want to hear how awesome creating content on LinkedIn is and how you can really stand out from everyone else by doing it, you’re not going to hear that from me, or at least not here.

The best way to be visible on LinkedIn WITHOUT creating content is to…COMMENT!!!

I don’t mean scroll and comment.

I mean, go to the circles where people are already having conversations and…give the thumbs up and walk out.

Article content

Reacting to posts, whether it’s dropping a like, a celebrate, or an insightful reaction on LinkedIn does NOT open up conversations.

It does NOT build the “like” in know, like, and trust.

Commenting does.TALK

Article content

So have conversations to get in front of people that you want to talk with. Talk to us. Talk to us the way you would if we were standing in front of you.

Don’t go the easy way out and use AI to generate comments.

You also don’t need a feather pen to manually write it.

Write a comment the way you would text someone.

Write a comment the way you would message someone.

Write a comment the way you would talk to someone if he or she were standing in front of you.

Memes are always welcome in my comments. In fact, shout out to Jeff Young, who is brilliant at GIFs and Memes in the comments.

Did you know that if you comment every single day you could MASSIVELY drive up your visibility here on LinkedIn???

I don’t post content every day, but I do comment. I’ve commented for 30 minutes in a morning and I’ve watched my profile views go up because of it.

I’ve received thousands of views on comments I’ve made on other people’s content.

Visibility box – CHECK!

Now, in order to be visible to the people you want to start conversations with, you need to know who those people are. So before you start commenting, ask yourself, “Why am I here?” “Who do I want to talk to?”

Then the key is to go to those people to shake hands and talk.

Article content

That way you aren’t wasting your time guessing and hoping that someone may see your comment. You know those are your people and you know they need to see you.

So for your homework, ask yourself, “Why am I here? Whom do I want to see me?” Taking the guessing game out of the equation means you are not wasting any time thinking and praying hoping for the right person to see it.

Now for the comments, how often do you comment? What results have you seen firsthand from commenting here on LinkedIn?

➡️ I’m looking for my next opportunity!!! I scale audiences with content. I bridge the chasm that exists between marketing and sales. I’m very interested in Director of Marketing/Communications and Head of Content roles. If that hiring manager would love to have someone who built her personal brand here and grew from 400-32,000+ here, I’ve got that too! If I can build it like that for myself, just think of what I can do for your company!
