Yes, that statement applies to videos too.
Consistency is important. You have to show your network that you show up and you consistently show up.
I started creating content here 2.5 years ago (2018!) and back then I was one of the few people who were doing video here on LinkedIn.
Very quickly after I started creating videos, I learned to bring value, to help people, and to share the knowledge.
There are a few things that I learned and I now teach my clients when it comes to showing up via video:
1. Consistency
2. Bring value
3. Don’t overthink it, it’s not always about high production value. If you have a great message, people will appreciate it.
4. Multiple takes makes you look frustrated.
Yeah I learned that last one the hard way. People don’t watch to see you look angry or frustrated, they want to see you and hear what you have to say. If you aren’t perfect, that’s totally OK. You be you.
Oh yeah, creating videos that are more than 2 minutes is WAY TOO LONG too.
