I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, stop pitching here. Stop selling here.

A recent connection of mine wrote this in a comment and I asked her permission before using it as inspiration for this post.

“I get way too many sales people coming at me from all angles. Worse is that they can track down my work email and send email blasts, nonstop. Here’s a tip: If sending a general email out, scrub the recipient info and not use ‘Dear _____’ for example.”

So many people can relate with her words.

We don’t want to be sold to in the DMs.

We don’t want to be sold to via unsolicited emails.

We don’t want to be signed up to your email blasts without giving you our permission.

So stop. Please stop!
