Are you ready to ROCK????
Like a good hard rock song, LinkedIn needs a good beat.
If your content has one tone (think the musical tone not the literary tone, flashback to my days of English in high school) throughout, you will lose people. What I mean by that is give us a beat. Don’t write your content in one large paragraph, work in smaller paragraphs that rock the beat. Pace yourself.
Like a good hard rock song, LinkedIn needs energy.
Yes, there are plenty of ballads…really good ballads…that are perfect for the slow dances. There are times for those songs. LinkedIn needs your energy, enthusiasm, and electricity. When you’re showing up on video, bring the energy, bring the excitement, your energy will reach us through the screen! You don’t need to talk slower on video than you would if we were standing before you. If you’re not feeling like showing up on video, don’t! Save the video opportunities for when you are inspired and ready to bring the energy!
Like a good hard rock song, LinkedIn needs good strong lyrics.
Use your words to make your point. You don’t need to use every word in the dictionary, but you do need to select them in a way to make your point. When did you last hear a rock song with no good lyrics? Your words are very powerful, so use them to tell the story. Use the words to get a message across. Do you create content without a meaning behind it? People on LinkedIn LOVE content with meaning behind it. Tell us why we should care.
Like a good hard rock song, LinkedIn needs really good musicians to bring those lyrics and notes to life.
I’m confident those people are on LinkedIn. There are plenty of content creators here but only 1% (Yep, that’s it!) of the people here are creating content, that means there’s so much room on LinkedIn for YOU!
