How do I put into words what I just experienced? This was a tough one to write.

The Badass Business Summit is NOT adult summer camp.

The Badass Business Summit is NOT just a networking event.

The Badass Business Summit is NOT sitting down for hours and being preached to.

The Badass Business Summit is NOT a break from your business and it’s not a workshop.

Do you know what it is?

It’s a learning experience and an opportunity to be surrounded by people who genuinely care about you and your success. It’s a chance to soak in all the stuff that takes you from “struggling small business or “need to reach the next level” to “rocking it and making money”.

My takeaways:

– Show up as yourself. Be the same person at the sales call that you are in the car.

– Go break stuff (that’s not the word used at the summit but you get my point) by trying new things.

– Live like Lucy, the 21 foot shark that doesn’t care what gets in her way. Your business has to grow in order for you to gain momentum.

– There are things you don’t know and when you soak in the knowledge of others and bring them into your circle, you become empowered and ready to grow.

– The tools and people are there, you have to commit to putting in the work.

– You can get on that stage and cry (I did) and be vulnerable admitting that life as a business owner is lonely and some of us need cheerleaders like the ones we had growing up.

– You can get on the same stage and belt out karaoke and no one cares that you aren’t a good singer. You are showing your courage and energy and that you don’t care what anyone thinks.

– You can meet people that you’ve only met on LinkedIn and Zoom and feel their energy, their wisdom, and their willingness to cheer you on to your success.

It all happened for me at the Badass Business Summit.

It was one of the best things I have done to grow my business.

I believe that as solopreneurs, life is often lonely and can be mundane.

Tapping into your “why” is crucial, AND learning and knowing what it takes to grow and bring in revenue.

If you don’t invest in yourself and your business, you will continue to run the hamster wheel. You won’t go anywhere.

We also ate some delicious Texas food.

Tagging some peeps who I talked to and got to know better.

This is not spam tagging because I am not tagging for visibility. I sincerely appreciate them.

The brains behind the summit:
Donnie Boivin and Kevin Snow

I had great conversations and danced and sang with: ~Rachel SimonGehan (“G”) Haridy-ArdanowskiLauren Ammon, ACCSteven WallacePablo GonzalezSabrina Greenwood-Briggs, SHRM-SCPLaine BelcastroJessica GruberMonica Tuck, and Hannah Chapman, CFP®, APMA®, CRPC® , Dr. Stevie Dawn Carter, Julia LoranEstes, Jennifer Potter, and Denise Murtha Bachmann.

What have you done to invest in yourself lately?

What makes you a Badass?
