Those are the two words that the doctor said but my takeaway is: You don’t need to come back for follow-ups. It’s over.
As needed…meaning only if you have symptoms.
And…the lung cancer saga is over.
It started with a car accident, the car was totaled. I went in for back pain and was told “Your back looks OK but there’s something going on with your lung.”
I am so grateful for that car accident. It was a carcinoid tumor. They caught it early.
That was the fall of 2008 and here we are 14 years later and it’s finally over.
Years of follow-up visits and CT Scans, three hospitals and three different specialists, and I’m celebrating.
I told the doctors at the Cleveland Clinic “It was great meeting you but I’m good with not seeing you for a while. If you see a crazy woman doing cartwheels, it’s just me.”
This is a celebration post and a gratitude post.
Celebrating the end of my cancer journey and grateful for all of my supporters and cheerleaders.
I was able to verbally celebrate on calls with Gordon Smith, Monica Tuck and Geoff Strauss. Very grateful to all of you!
I’ve had so many prayer warriors and cheerleaders and to all of you, you know who you are…thank you!
