There was a time when I could listen to Rockwell’s song (from the 80s) and just enjoy it.
Now every time I hear that song, I think of LinkedIn. When you are active here, people are watching you. When you are inactive here, well, what’s the point???
Comment…people see that comment. A comment of mine recently got 1500 impressions. That means 1500 people saw me…and I didn’t post any content that day. All it took was one comment.
I LOVE that LinkedIn tells you how many impressions your comments get. Just goes to show that shaking hands (my metaphor for commenting here) is a fantastic way to be seen.
Shake hands, people will like you do when you do.
Now, let’s discuss visibility when it comes to content. People are watching, even though they aren’t commenting. People are watching, even though they aren’t reacting. People are watching, even though they aren’t sending you messages.
Never underestimate the power of being active here because even if you don’t see the interactions, people see you. People are noticing you. All you need is a strategy for generating that know, like, and trust…and consistency.
I have over 31,500 followers here. Some posts get 424 impressions, some posts get 1098 impressions, some posts get 20,138 impressions. Each and every one of those pieces of content is seen. Each one of those pieces of content bring people to my profile. What resonates with one person, may not resonate with another.
Nothing happens on LinkedIn overnight, and if people tell you they can do that, they want to sell you a hack.
In the comments, tell us how being seen on LinkedIn has impacted you.
