LinkedIn is not a sales platform.

It’s not a place for sales people to sell via cold call DMs or pitch slaps or spammy messages.

It is a place to get to know one another. It’s a networking event with 830 Million other people.

This post was inspired by another conversation that I engaged here.

We don’t like to be sold to. We do want to get to know you.

If we all jumped on board with “I’m in it for the long haul”, LinkedIn would be a much better place.

It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.

I was one of those who sold via DMs, I did it 4 years ago. I don’t do it anymore.

My triangle strategy to grow here on LinkedIn worked for me and now it works for my clients.
