No one knows he’s crying

No one knows he’s crying
No one knows he’s dying on the inside
‘Cause he’s laughing on the outside

See the funny little clown
See him laughing as you walk by
Everybody thinks he’s happy
‘Cause you never see a tear in his eye

No one knows he’s crying
No one knows he’s dying on the inside
‘Cause he’s laughing on the outside

No one knows, no one knows
See the funny little clown
He’s hiding behind a smile
They all think he’s laughing
But I know he’s really crying all the while

How his heart is aching
How his heart is breaking on the inside
But he keeps laughing on the outside

Bobby Goldsboro is the singer behind this one and instantly when I hear his name I think of my dad. This song came out in the 70s. My dad is a big fan of so many of his songs. We talked about him for a while just a few days ago.

After the death of my friend’s mom last week, I’ve decided to have more of these talks with my parents. I want them to know these little things and how they’ve impacted me.

Why am I posting these lyrics today? I posted the words because when I heard his song I instantly thought this describes mental health.

It’s very true when people say “You never know what people are going through on the inside”.

We may be laughing on the outside but inside many of us have our struggles.

No one knows.

One of the things I’ve dealt with over the years is anxiety.

This afternoon (EST) I’m going to be talking to Melly Moore about it, hope you can join us for the LIVE! Link will be in the comments.
