It was my first real job.
By real job, I mean the first one I got a real paycheck for.
I was a babysitter for a family across the street from where we used to live. I don’t count that because I didn’t get a paycheck for it.
At the library, that paycheck had my name on it. I saw taxes taken out of it. It was real and I learned the value of hard work.
It’s funny how something you learned in your first job stays with you.
Not only does a messy book shelf still annoy me, I also remember authors that I became very familiar with during those years.
I also fondly remember taking Stouffer’s French Bread Pizzas with me for
lunch/dinner. Can’t help but think of those days when I have a french bread pizza, even now.
What was your first job? Does something that you learned back then stay with you even now or did you have an experience that you fondly recall?
I want to hear all about it!
